Cookie Policy

Last updated: 8 June 2026

This policy explains the cookies we use on our website and why. Please read it alongside our Privacy Policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make sites work, to keep them secure, and to remember things between pages. Some cookies are set by the site you are visiting, and some are set by other companies that provide services on the site, such as a payment provider.

Our approach

We keep cookies to a minimum. We only use cookies that are strictly necessary to run the site securely and to process payments. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies, and we do not build profiles of visitors or share your browsing with advertisers.

Because the cookies we use are strictly necessary, UK law does not require us to ask for your consent to set them. We are telling you about them here so you know what is happening.

If that changes in future, for example if we add website analytics, we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent through a cookie banner before any non-essential cookies are set.

The cookies we use

These are the cookies you may encounter on our site. The exact names and durations can change as our providers update their services.

Security and performance (Cloudflare). Cloudflare protects and speeds up our site. It sets cookies to tell genuine visitors apart from bots and to manage security challenges. Examples include __cf_bm and cf_clearance. These typically last from around 30 minutes up to a few days. Without them we cannot keep the site secure and available.

Payments (Stripe). When you start a trial or subscribe, Stripe handles the payment securely. Stripe sets cookies to enable the checkout, prevent fraud, and remember your session during payment. Examples include __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid. The session cookie lasts about 30 minutes and the longer-lived one up to a year. These only come into play when you use a Stripe-powered page.

Both Cloudflare and Stripe act as our service providers. You can read more about how they use cookies in their own cookie and privacy notices.

Managing cookies

Because our cookies are strictly necessary, blocking them may stop parts of the site from working, in particular the checkout. If you still want to control cookies, you can do so through your browser settings. Most browsers let you see what cookies are stored, delete them, and block cookies from some or all sites. Look in your browser's help or privacy settings for how to do this.

You can also find clear, independent guidance on managing cookies at aboutcookies.org and on the ICO's website at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our cookies change or when the law changes. When we do, we will update the date at the top. Please check back now and then.
